Sylvia Loch On the Classical Riding ClubWhat a wonderful idea to group together classical dressage riders and trainers. And thus the Classical Riding Club was born. Now, years later, were there any regrets? … perhaps a few. Riders who didn’t understand its purpose when it first started. Not understanding that it was never intended to be anti-competition but rather to point towards a better way of doing things.

Until you do it yourself, few will appreciate the incredible amount of work that goes into editing and publishing a quarterly newsletter designed not only to educate but to change the world! Only possible because of a much treasured lady, in the form of Melanie Wilkes who handled all the day-to-day running of the Club.
Seeking out the right authors, the right articles, and the right balance to suit all tastes can be a challenging task and Sylvia's own Editorial could take anything up to four days to produce to her satisfaction. She is a perfectionist. "I can't write the same stuff, or regurgitate past ideas, it's always got to be different !" she insists.
