The Masters: Who is Seunig?

SEPTEMBER 2005 • HORSES For LIFE™ Magazine

Why should we care who Waldemar Seunig is?

Waldemar Seunig not only was a master horseman... one of the last royal Masters of the Horse in the 1900's... he also left us an incredible legacy. A legacy that we have available to us to use today to learn more about horsemanship, about our riding and training and about our horses.

We welcome you to our series on the masters. An introduction to the incredible works and materials available to us today from knowledgeable and caring horsemen from the past. Teachers who wanted and chose to share of their knowledge and their experience.

Waldemar Seunig had incredible credentials. Think of any famous riding institution in Europe and chances are Waldemar Seunig spent time there.

Who is Waldemar Seunig?

Waldemar had a long and colorful career both as a famous equestrian and a judge of international competition as well as being a prolific writer of short stories, literary studies and books on horses.
