There are few show riding rings today where we can get to see moments of where horses are allowed to get on a loose rein even at the halt, that are allowed - even encouraged to work ahead of the vertical or where we can see many moments where the curb bit is relaxed and unengaged, rather than having the curb completely engaged throughout the entire ride. It was a joy to see these moments still exist in the ring today. We can of course see this in the Spanish Riding School in Vienna and today we can see this and more with White Stallion Productions. A rider who rides the airs above the ground with a seat so good that he can ride it without stirrups, who understands the sensitivity of some of his horses - happy to ride with no spurs, we are pleased to share the first installment of an interview with the head rider of White Stallion Productions where this month he shares how many riders get their start as a rider. Enjoy as well, the visually stunning pictorial article. An article with no text, where the pictures do the talking of the White Lipizzan Stallions on display. This issue is a dedication of how the horses are the real teachers and have so much to teach us, if we let them. From the story of what we can learn from the legend of Pegasus from Klaus Ferdinand Hempling, to The Horse that Listens, to Pandora's Box of Natural Horsemanship, to Dumbledore Teaches the Teacher where one instructor has every , each takes a different take on how the horse reaches out to us, often unexpectedly. Our introduction to Empowered Horses a new series of articles based on the new book is a testiment to our dedication in this and future issues to reminding ourselves that no matter our level of experience that we need to always remember to stay humble and open to the lessons that the horse has to teach us. We are especially pleased to announce that beginning with this issue we will have at least one article each month in Spanish for our readers, thanks to the kind translation assistance of one of our readers, who has kindly volunteered to translate one article each and every month. This month this and our article on what has been marked as the perfect piaffe are the two free articles that we offer this month to our registered users. From Eleanor Russell sharing what it was like in Saumur and why she choose to leave to join Nuno in Portugal to When Forward Doesn't Work to the scary situation of the use of standing martingales in the hunter ring today, join us for this and so much more in this edition of Horses For LIFE. And congratulations to Ernst Bachinger who it has just been recently announced as the new President of the Spanish Riding School. Next month one contributor shares what simple wisdom that Ernst Bachinger shared that made the biggest contribution to his riding.
