Stop! If you don't have the time to read this entire email. Stop and go to http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/SavingTheHorses/ and add your signature in our worldwide petition to the FEI asking that the age old rule of two fingers space between the cavesson and the horse's face be implemented at all dressage events. We have seen the power of the internet in disseminating information and creating change. Three to four years ago rollkur was not being openly discussed. Anyone who tried faced legal action. A muzzle literally placed on any one who wanted to speak out. The internet changed all that. We want to harness that power to create a real change for all horses. Please sign and pass on this link to everyone you know. Torchlight, the Purple Pony and our Editorial are all free articles this month each looking at this from a different perspective but all imploring everyone to help the horses with this simple and easily enforceable rule. Read and find out more about what the horse needs to be able to do with his jaws to lower and raise his head and neck. Also find out what did Klaus Balkenhol, Colonel Carde and Dr. Gerd Heuschman all found so incredibly fascinating at a recent clinic. And is it finally true, Philippe Karl is coming to North America for the first time ever!? Yes it is! More information in our flip magazine. This month we are very excited to be joined for the first time by Bent Branderup on the Art of Pluvinel. Bent Branderup freely shares his opinion on everything from what we see in the competition arena to the importance of the purity of the gaits, to problems collecting horses of today. From Anja Beran on Andalusians versus Lusitanos, an article sure to create strong feelings in many, to the beginning of an enlightening series of articles with Sherry Ackerman, to our continuing series following the training of a young Andalusian stallion, to the continuing series with Carolyn Resnick on Leadership, you will find in this issue the ongoing contributions from incredible equestrians thought provoking and educational. Nowhere else are you going to find this range of subjects and renown trainers all in one issue! Our new flip page format offers you the ability to finally print off articles. Now you can print off any article off our regular web site as well. Not only our site but any site online. Offered by HP, this free download allows you to select what area of the page that you want to print, no extra white space, no menu's, choose what you want to print. Just go to HP Smart Web Printing

Many of you may have noticed that many of our articles come in series or refer back to earlier articles. Our magazine is much more than a monthly publication, it is a library of information that builds on past articles. Literally an encyclopaedia on the art of horsemanship. While it is not financially feasible for us at this time, we continue to research printing possibilities for the future, where we do hope one day to create a series of texts, of volumes of Horses For LIFE. We hope you continue to enjoy our new format check it out in our free preview format of this month's edition of Horses For LIFE in our new pageflip format at: http://www.myvirtualpaper.com/doc/Horses-For-Life/PreviewVolume41/2009030901/ or go to http://horsesforlife.com to see our free articles this month and from past months.
