Are Showhorses Being Abused?

The World was shocked when this year for the first time ever in the 68 year history, the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration Shelbyville, Tennessee was literally canceled as the show was just about to start. After the cancelation of a walking-horse championship, concerns are being raised about how those high-stepping horses are treated. So what exactly happened?

Imagine calling off the Grand Prix at this year’s World Equestrian Games because most of the horses tested positive for drug use, or the veterinarians vetoed all but three horses from competing because of physical problems and you have a taste of what happened at the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration this year. ...
