In actual scientific tests this dog showed the ability to actually categorize objects. For example you could show it five pictures. One blank, three with closed objects in other words objects that were solid and one object that was hollow in the center. And the dog was able to pick out the one object that didn't fit. The one with the hollow center. Or you could reverse it and have the dog pick out one closed object out of a bunch of shapes that were hollow.
