The Concept of Energy Forward Projection: The Concept of HeartFire Standing on the dark stage lit with one sole light, the new actor stands looking so small. Almost tiny, in fact. Especially when you compare him to the size of the stage let alone the size of the theater itself where later tonight the audience would fill the seats.
How was the one lone human being to command the attention and the
hearts of so many people? How could this one lone person engage
so many others? If this person were to stand on the stage,
shrinking upon himself with head bowed and shoulders dropped, probably
it would never happen. But the director slowly moulds the young
actor, getting him to stand tall to take a deep breath, to fill his
chest with air, to not only make himself bigger but to project his
voice, and his very emotions. Throwing his feelings out beyond
himself so that they filled the stage and the theater beyond.
This is not something that you can pretend to do. The audience
cannot be fooled.
