Thanks Giving or Thanksgiving In North America it has become the holiday to give thanks for the harvest. For the food that is in our larders for the winter to come. A winter that we will not starve through, like some of those who came before us. We will be able to feed ourselves, we will be able to feed our children. Something indeed to be thankful for. Giving thanks is special. It makes us appreciate what we have, who we get to share it with. We seldom give time to be truly thankful. Thankful for the bounty of our lives. We are being raised in a commercial world, to be commercial. To always want more. Not that there is anything wrong with wanting more, but sometimes it can poison our very hearts, our very lives. As our overwhelming feeling is of lack, or even of envy.
