So, you don’t wait to get asked twice, do you? The following
spring I was there, and asked if I could bring my horses there... He said,
“Yes, why don’t you bring your horses and I’ll help you with them and
you can stay and help me with mine. And do you need to go back to
the army?” And I said, “Not really, no. I can stay here I
suppose.” He said, “Yes, yes, you’ll have to stay here and you
may have your stable. Stay.” So I did and sort of ran the
place for him.
