 A year ago I would like to take a moment to return you to snapshot in time. A snapshot as we look in at the world in regard to rollkur a year ago. It was a very different place than where we are now. More different than perhaps you realize. A time when people were afraid to talk about rollkur openly. And even fewer publishers were willing to even mention the subject in any article. They were literally afraid. What were they so afraid of? Well, we only had to look around at what was happening. We didn't have to look very far for a reason to be afraid to talk openly about this. People were getting sued and the one magazine that did say anything in Germany was sued and lost. It seems ironic to many that anyone should sue for training practices that they engage in. If they were so proud about their training, then why sue? But I guess that's not the point. One courageous lady had to close down her website because she dared show pictures of riders warming up in the dressage arena. Did she falsify these photos?
