You know, I remember the
first time I had to learn to stand up. You humans are
lucky! They let you take days, weeks, even months to fumble
around and learn how to walk! It's just not fair.
We, on the other hand, are expected to get up moments after we get
pushed through this narrow little hole and sometimes even getting
dropped on our heads! We are born with these long long legs that
go all over the place and made us feel like a spider with eight legs
instead of four!
Slipping and sliding, legs going in all directions, somehow we manage.
Somehow, one way or another, we get all 4 feet going in the same
direction at the same time and manage to fumble our way toward standing
up on four legs.
Everyone is so proud of us especially mom as she knickers to us
encouragingly. Big sigh, I think I will always remember that
moment.
But that is the first time in our lives that we have to learn how to stand up.
