Evaluation of the upper respiratory tract in 90 sport horses undergoing high-speed treadmill videoendoscopy One of the burning questions that came up after reviewing the previous research on horses and breathing, was what the effect of poll flexion be on horses that were not under strenuous use. It was one thing to say a racehorse had problems with breathing under poll flexion, but does this really apply to my dressage horse? After all I am not going around a racetrack at a full out gallop. Are we perhaps trying to compare apples and oranges, if we say the the previous research really does apply to our dressage horses?
