MARCH 2007 • VOLUME 19 • © HORSES For LIFE™ Magazine
Joao was brought up on the principles of classical dressage by his father and mentor ‘Master’ Nuno Oliveira. He was first put up on a horse at three and a half by his father. In 2005 he and Luisa Valenca a Pas De Deux in exhibition performed at the US Dressage Olympic Selection Trials in San Juan Capistrano. Believing in feel and the need to be quiet and to be with your horse, this performance is a tour de force is showing the pride of the horse with a rider on his back. Appreciate with us this display of classical dressage and in the words of Joao Oliveir of his joy to be “performing in a Baroque style and showing its true potential.” Please note this is a very large file and you must have high speed internet to access. Even with the high speed access depending on the number of riders who are simultaneously trying to access the video, there might be a delay while this video uploads. While we appreciate that many would like to see this film in a smaller format, we feel we must present a video in quality that mirrors the level of riding that is being performed.
