September 2007 • VOLUME 25 • © HORSES For LIFE™ Magazine
A publisher who is also a horsewomen, gets to a point where she is ready to quit. Ready to give up. A chance visit to a horse show begins her on a path to publishing her first horse book with a new instructor, one that helps her find something special between her and her horse. "I wanted to stop riding because I
felt what my trainer told me (3 Years ago) could not be right. My horse was not
in a good condition, was sad, and I felt what I did on the horse could not be
good for him. Then my trainer spoke about a show that should be held at Anja
Beran's stable. I was interested and went there. And what I saw was what I was
always looking for all of my life: happy horses in best condition and good
riders in harmony with the horse. My trainer told me (he did not know that I
wanted to finish riding) that Anja wanted do write a book. So in a minute it
was clear that I would be her publisher. She did not want a normal big
publisher where she would be a number - and I publish only books written by
really knowing and most of all by heart - this is the reason for the title of
the book which is not normal for a horsebook: In Deference.
My first horse is now looking completely different!! It is a happy horse - I am riding completely different - my horse and I we are a team now - there is not a fight but a communication." This was a beginning of a very special path and the beginning of a new magazine
