When we examine the upright vertebrae of the spine of the thorax, we can easily see that the beginning spines point to the rear and the end spines point forward. With a very few that might actually be upright. With the spines literally pointing at each other care must be taken. It is an incredible statistic that of post mortem examinations that 80% of the horses that were examined had problems with kissing spines. Spinal processes that impinge one upon the other. Eighty percent!!! An incredibly high and worrisome number. A number that should give us pause and make us stop and think what might we be do that might possibly be contributing to the cause.
