There is something about finding pure rhythm that is magical in both man and beast.
How far back in our own history would we have to go to find a time when man did not respond to the sounds of rhythm? From the pounding feet in the brown dirt around the blazing campfire, to the tapping of sticks on a hollow log, the repetition of sound and rhythm has captured the imagination and emotion of man.
The long-distance runner revels in the purity of the rhythm of his pumping arms and legs. The sound of his feet as they cross endless miles of pavement in perfect rhythm.
We know the sound of the rhythm of
music can bring us to our feet to join in with its magical influence,
rhythm often creating feelings of joy and happiness in a most
overwhelming instinctive response.
