Our legs caress, embrace and engulf our horses. A completely enveloping of their bodies, a physical manifestation of our control over our horses. Legs, can rest, press, caress. They can dig, whisper, kick and shout. They are endless opportunities available in our legs, there is both opportunity as well as problems that can effect how the horse goes. Do you have a horse that seems sluggish. Or perhaps you have a horse that your instructor is always asking for more forward. Do your legs get tired asking for more and more forward? Or perhaps you have a horse that seems dead to the leg from the very beginning and you are not quite sure what the problem is or how to fix it. If the horse is going to be able to move properly we know that we need to have a back that is flexible and supple. Much attention is given to the importance of the seat knowing that the rider's seat can influence the horse to such a degree that the horse will literally unable to move.
