A true master, "the" master of the last century? Or .....
Some have suggested that some respond to Nuno on sentimental and emotional level, not on his actual training expertise. Nuno was a man though that trained horses and kept his school horses sound for years, had the admiration of other riders such as Podhasky and trained high school movements such as levade and ballotade and played with Spanish Walk and Spanish Trot, Canter Backward, to mention just a few was working on a little bit more then sentiment and emotion.
And it is these skills that give him the right to the term master.
How can one not respond to his philosophy and the emotion of his writing.
"Nowadays we see horses in the beginning without enormous movements, balance and conformation and we put aside these horses. The tendency is to know only one system of training and to use that one system, only with horses that have many good qualities.
