Think of the centaur.. half human and half horse.... Then there is the beautiful and mysterious mermaid.. half human and half fish... And then or course there is the harpy... some poor man's excuse I'm sure...:) A goat... Pan... The mermaid makes sense ... as we know in our subsconcious minds and in our souls that we come from the sea.. salt in our tears.. webbing in our fingers and toes....our intense love of the sea... with vacations at the beach or pool side... we have a very special affinity for the water. Then there is the centaur. Why this creature? Why not think of half human and half a lion.. or a tiger.. or a buffalo? Where do our myths come from?
From far off memories of our common heritage .. a vision of the first man to come thundering over the rise of the hill .. mounted astride the horse.. buried so deep in a common unconsciousness that one might call it instinct.
