IS YOUR HORSE:
• distracted? • inattentive? • anxious? • nervous? • unable to comprehend what you are trying to teach? • wanting to carry his head too high? • running over you when you lead him? • barging past you when you are leading him? • pushing against the bit? • tightening his back which causes his movement to be jarring or quick or too propulsive? • tightening his back causing a general lack of suppleness and ability to bend his spine? • severely undesirable behaviors such as bucking, bolting, biting, kicking, rearing, striking, etc.? If your horse is displaying any of these behaviours, the first step in finding a solution is to find out why he is reacting the way he is. These behaviours are a result of an instinctive pattern of behaviour, one tied to his means of survival, one that becomes an unhealthy habitual state of being.
